Alba Terrace shows once again all the talents of the British chef Thomas Aikens, which remove the extravagances to focus on the essentials: the products.
Plate to share, pasta, fish, pizza, salads, all the epicureans will find their way, comfortably installed on the sublime terrace facing the swimming pool with candlelit lanterns for a moment of absolute relaxation.
For the “apero”, we let ourselves be tempted by an aperitif with spritz following by a declinaison of breads (focaccia and local) and hummus and olive oil : A perfect bridge between Italy and Orient.
To follow, a sublime octopus carpaccio, roast tomatoes fondue, pine nuts and marjoram, and the shaved artichoke salad, almond, dill and lemon. Two delicious plates, very well balanced and perfect to start the meal.
We then follow the recommendation of our waiter, choosing the lamb chops marinated in rosemary and served with a cream of yogurt and the fish of the day.
We were totally charmed by the breakfast healthy selection of Thomas Aikens and were willing to discover the Alba Terrace, signature restaurant of the Abu Dhabi Edition. This being said, we usually restrain for desserts, always being disappointed abroad, but not this time with the convincing raspberry tart, whose dressage mirror the perfection. A great dessert, which we end with pleasure enjoying the silence and great atmosphere of the restaurant.
Alba Terrace is undoubtedly a “must try” restaurant in Abu Dhabi for its excellence in the supply of products and the perfect balanced of all the plates.
